Live Session with Elana Katz
Elana Katz conducts a live session with a young, multiracial couple with different religious backgrounds, one partner identifies as male (pronouns: He/His) and the other as gender queer (pronouns: She/Hers). The couple comes for a consultation at a choice point in their relationship. The session focused on helping one partner find her voice to share her concerns so that she would not be carrying them alone, even as she described that she usually shows up to ease the concerns of others. The session is noteworthy for many small enactments to help her come forward at this pivotal time. NYCEFT Supervisor-in-Training Ashraf Khater will comment on the session process and EFT interventions and engage participants in a discussion to integrate the learning.
