NYCEFT Video Series EVENT

Join us twice a month for our EFT Video Series!

These events take place twice a month and will give the greater New York City EFT Community a chance to watch training tapes together with a discussant moderating the discussions.

Join us on Zoom as we move the video series online! Registration closes one hour prior to the event. Link will be sent out before the event begins.

Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

$10 for students and full-time agency staff

Shaping Secure Connection - Stage 1 with Sue Johnson

We will be viewing Shaping Secure Connection: Stage I of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy.  In this DVD training video, Dr. Sue Johnson presents a case within a live session of the Stage I EFT change processes. Subtitles appear that comment on interventions as they occur.  Sue discusses the session and outlines how each session is typical of the stage in which it occurred. 

Clinicians will gain a deeper understanding of the subtle, moment to moment process of EFT and greater clarity differentiating Stage One interventions and processes.

Discussant and Facilitator:

Melorra Sochet, LCSW, JD

Melorra Sochet is certified in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and is an Approved Supervisor Candidate. She has completed all levels of Relational Life Institute Training and is certified by the Ackerman Institute for the family in divorce mediation. Melorra also has training in relational and interpersonal psychoanalysis and integrates this knowledge into her work. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Melorra practiced law for many years and was selected for the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s national leadership development fellowship. She uses this experience to assist people struggling in competitive and pressurized work environments and careers. Melorra works with couples, individuals and supervisees in her private practice in the Flatiron District.
