The power of affect in eft

Presenter:
Debi Scimeca-Diaz, LMFT, Certified EFT Therapist, Supervisor, and Trainer

When: Friday, November 18th, 3:30-5:30 PM

Where: Birch Family Services
104 West 29th Street (at Sixth Ave.)
2nd Floor Training Room

The EFT model is influenced by 4 approaches to psychotherapy.  We use attachment theory, systemic theory, experiential therapy and Rogerian therapy to help bring about change.  In this video session we will watch how powerful it is to access emotion in the room and identify ways to deepen the affect which facilitates movement toward creating a secure bond with our couples.   The underpinnings of EFT are centered around attunement, present process, primary emotions and positions in the dance.  You will have the opportunity to be pulled into a couples emotional experience as they struggle to find their way back to each other.

Debi Scimeca-Diaz is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor in the state of New Jersey.
